In summer 2011 a group of Danish women organized the international meeting ‘Felt in Focus’. It took place on the island of Fynen. In addition to workshops, there were excursions and other cultural events, but the highlight was the exhibition in Odense.
Hans Christian Andersen, the well-known poet and writer, was born in Odense in 1805. So it was only natural to determine the fairy tale theme for the exhibition.
In the literature, not only in the H.C. Andersen’s fairy tale, the rose is praised as a symbol of all-embracing love, beauty and the development of the soul. So it became the topic for my ‘the rose banner’
