Felt-diary

In February 2002, 12 other women and I started the new felt training course at the Ballenberg course center. I wanted to get to know new things and expand my range of expression.

In the first module we were introduced to historical background and the corresponding culture-specific felting techniques. We worked with all sorts of natural native wools and explored their felt characteristics and properties with material samples and felt experiments.

My subsequent module work was the “felt diary”, of which you can see some pictures here.

Each strand of wool which runs through the entire work represents a participant and is of a different wool quality.
